Version 1.0 · effective 2026-09-13
init.Dither is an app for iPhone and Android that generates dithered pictures. It is an independent product developed and operated from the Netherlands by Vladyslav Glogus. By installing or using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the app.
You have a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use init.Dither on devices you own or control.
Please do not reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app itself, work around the limit on how many pictures you can keep, or abuse the servers the app talks to.
Every picture you generate belongs to you. You may use it however you like — as a wallpaper, as a print, in something you sell, anywhere at all, including commercially. We claim no ownership over it and ask for no credit or attribution.
This is as true on the free tier as it is after a purchase. What you pay for is how many pictures you can keep, never what you are allowed to do with them.
Sharing a picture to Discover is entirely optional. When you do, the app sends the picture’s recipe and the name you type — not an image file.
The name you choose is published with the picture, visible to anyone who opens the app. By sharing, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display that recipe, the picture it generates, and that name inside init.Dither and in material promoting it. You keep every other right, including the right to go on using the picture yourself however you please.
Do not choose a name that is offensive, that impersonates somebody, or that you have no right to use. We can remove any submission or name at any time and for any reason. A picture reported by three different devices is hidden automatically.
The app is free to use, with a limit on how many pictures you can keep. One payment removes that limit permanently. Smaller top-ups add a fixed number of exports and do not expire. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
All payments are taken by Apple or Google, not by us. The price is shown in your store’s own currency before you confirm. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its own policy — we are not able to issue them ourselves, though we are happy to help you ask.
The terms of the store you obtained the app from also apply. On iOS, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app itself; where these terms and Apple’s conflict, Apple’s governs.
Apple and Google are not parties to these terms, and are not responsible for the app or for any claim relating to it.
If you send feedback, we may use it to improve the app, with no obligation or payment to you. Please do not send anything confidential — whatever you write is what we receive.
Features can change, be added, or be withdrawn. The Discover feed and the servers behind it may be unavailable at times and are not guaranteed to stay available forever.
Because the app needs no account, the pictures and recipes you have already made sit on your own device and are unaffected by any of that.
init.Dither is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or fit for a particular purpose.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law — including any statutory right to withdraw from a purchase. Where these terms and your mandatory legal rights disagree, your legal rights win.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for lost profit. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
You can stop using init.Dither at any time by deleting it. We may remove submissions or withdraw access to the Discover feed if these terms are broken.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and any dispute will be resolved in the Dutch courts. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
init.Dither is provided by Vladyslav Glogus, an individual operating from the Netherlands. For any question about these terms, write to hello@initmade.com.
How the app handles data is a separate document: the privacy policy.
If these terms change, the version and date at the top of this page change with them. Material changes will be called out in the app’s release notes.
